ABOUT OVERHOLSER KAYAK CLUB
Olympic and Paralympic training opportunities
Champion athletes aren’t just born - they’re selected, trained, molded and tested. Since 2017, Overholser Kayak Club (O.K.C.) has been a competitive force in Oklahoma.
The club is a registered American Canoe Association Paddle America Club.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit as part of the International Athletes Fund. Our mission is to provide competitive youth paddling opportunities to youth in the west Oklahoma City Metro area. The club also offers Olympic and Paralympic training opportunities for elite athletes around the country.
Our mission also includes:

Provide opportunities for kids to be active, be fit, and be healthy.

Introduce youth to competitive canoe and kayak racing.

Hone enthusiasm into maturity and speed with quality coaching.

Remove economic, physical, and psychological barriers to participation in youth paddling sports.

Provide fun workouts and help youth develop a life-long passion for the sport of paddling.

Teach teamwork, sportsmanship, and accountability; build character and discipline and love of sport.

Encourage the team members to have respect for the sport, for others, and for themselves.
